Goth. timrjan etc. ` zimmern', PGm. * tim(b)ra-, IE * demh₁-ro- (disyllabic root with germanic loss of the - h₁-; cf. νεό-δμᾱ-τος, δέ-δμᾱ-μαι), from *-dm̥h₁-.
